Continente asked us to rebrand its own-label intimate hygiene range. We made BORA! — Portuguese slang for “let’s go” — a loud, happy brand that takes the taboo out of the aisle and holds its own next to the big names.

What we started with- Brief
- Rebrand Continente’s own-label intimate hygiene products. Make the category feel open instead of clinical, and stand out on a shelf full of big brands.
- Constraints
- A supermarket own-label budget, the legal text every pack must carry, and the 1200 × 800 mm Europallet.
- Tools
- Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, AutoCAD and the laser cutter.
- Time
- One semester, 2025.
- Team
- Matilda Sørensen, Maria Grave and me, sharing BORA! equally. My part: the brand, visual system, packaging, stand, pallets and final display.
- Result
- A brand, a pattern, a range of packs and a shipping box that becomes the shelf display. Honourable mention from Sonae MC.
Method
How we made it — 01 to 06
Read the shelf
We walked the aisles of Lidl, Intermarché, Pingo Doce, Mercadona and El Corte Inglés. The shelf was blue, clinical and crowded, and the own-label packs disappeared next to the big brands.
Five directions, one brand
We explored three directions for BORA! and two for Lalla, a softer and more delicate idea. Continente chose BORA!: bubbly letters and an O that is a flower with a heart cut out. Add the “!” and the flower becomes the brand’s symbol.
A colour for everything
Six colours from the brandbook, paired into eight grounds for the logo. Products are told apart by colour first, so the range reads from the end of the aisle.

The range
Pads, daily liners, tampons, wipes, gel and cotton, all on one layout: the logo in a white band, the product name, pictograms, and only the colour changes. These boxes are built in 3D from our real print dielines.

Pallet maths
Each pack is 160 × 85 × 70 mm. We tested three box sizes on the 1200 × 800 mm Europallet. One wasted nothing but hung over the edge. The chosen box holds 16 packs: 12 boxes a layer, 960 packs a pallet.

The stand and the display
For the shop floor, a stand made of the brand itself: an oval drum with the logo, two wavy shelves and the flower on top. On the shelf, the shipping box tears open into a tray with petal-shaped side cuts, and only the panels you see are printed, which keeps it cheap.

Notes
Looking back
We’re so proud we pulled off a project like this in our first year — especially me, coming from a maths and engineering background.
